Privacy Policy

Shuffle My Team ("we", "our", "the app") is an assistant coach app for volunteer youth sports coaches. It helps coaches manage rosters, shuffle players into field positions fairly, and sync lineups in real time between co-coaches. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account info — name, email address, and profile photo, received when you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Team data — team name, sport, formation, and display color that you configure.
• Player data — player names, position preferences, bench-equity history, active/inactive status, and optional player photos you upload.
• Game data — game dates, opponent names, attendance records, position assignments, and segment lineups.
• Invite codes — short codes used to add co-coaches to a team.

2. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage) on servers located in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by Firebase security rules that restrict read and write access to authenticated members of each team.

3. Who Can See Your Data

• You and your co-coaches — all coaches who have joined a team can view and edit that team's roster, players, and game data in real time.
• Administrators — app administrators may access data for support and moderation purposes.
• No one else — we do not sell, share, or disclose your personal data to any third parties.

4. Player Photos

If you upload a photo for a player, it is stored in Firebase Storage and accessible only to authenticated members of that team. Photos are cropped to 256×256 pixels before upload. You can remove a player photo at any time from within the app.

5. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, hosting, analytics)
• Google Sign-In (authentication)
• Sign in with Apple (authentication)
• Firebase App Check (device integrity verification)

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account and teams exist. You can remove players, delete games, or leave a team at any time from within the app. If you are the last owner of a team, deleting it removes all associated player and game data.

7. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data in the following ways:

• Remove individual players or games from within the app.
• Use the account deletion option in the app's settings menu to submit a formal deletion request.
• Email us at adam.cruse@gmail.com to request account or data deletion.

8. Children's Privacy

Shuffle My Team is intended for use by adult coaches. Player names and photos entered into the app may belong to minors; this data is visible only to authenticated coaches on the same team and is never shared with third parties. We do not knowingly collect personal accounts from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us for removal.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
